Cabinetry Options

The beauty in custom cabinetry is that there is no limit to what your options are and are not. The options you see throughout these pages are common options customers seek out. If you have a specific ideas in mind, by all means let us know and we can work with it.

Some common features are pullout butcher blocks and lighting systems beneath cabinet uppers or in entertainment centers.

Wood Species

The most popular wood species include: White Oak, Red Oak, Maple, Cherry, Clear Alder, Knotty Alder, Hickory, Mahoganies, Pines, Walnut, and 1/4 Sawn Oaks. Finishes

All finishes applied to your cabinets are guaranteed as long as you own your home. All stains applied by Interior Wood Products are a product of Sherwin Williams "Sher Wood" line of stains ranging in various tones and purity. Doors

Interior wood products manufactures two styles of cabinet doors in-house. The quarter inch flat panel mission door, and a veneered MDF slab door. Specialty raised panel doors, and other custom doors are supplied by Destinctive Door Designs, Inc. of Princeton, Minnesota. They offer many varieties of paneled doors in 32 species of wood. Cabinet Interiors

Interior Wood Products standardizes a water-resistant white Melamine interior in all quotes. An upgrade from the melamine is a Maple interior. Cabinet shelves will reflect the chosen cabinet interior.

Drawers

Customers have several options for drawer box construction:

  • Standard white melamine drawer box
  • Composite Maple drawer box
  • Solid maple dovetail joint constructed drawer box

In addition, file drawers, garbage pullouts, and movie drawers are available. Along with box construction, drawer tracks are also pose options:

  • Standard tracks extend 3/4 of the way out of the cabinet
  • Full extension tracks, extend completely out of the cabinet upon ball bearings.

Soft close drawers and soft close hinges are also an additional feature.

Racks

Racks are extras that add to both the look and function of your kitchen. Several examples of racks include: wine racks, spice racks, plate racks, and towel racks.

Corner Cabinets

Several options for corner cabinets include: Lazy Susan maple or white, corner shelves, rotating garbage/recycling bins, and more.

Countertops

IWP makes several varieties of laminate tops and butcher block tops in house. However depending on edge styles amd size, laminates are special ordered along wth granite and marble.
